A Sighting Of Siding

The siding is going up and is looking very nice. In addition, the spiral staircase to the kitchen loft is being installed and a bathroom has been framed out for Tony in the lower barn. Other than that, we meet with Duane, the kitchen cabinet maker, again on Tuesday to see his plan.

The siding color is called Countrylane Red

Let There Be Lights

We went down to Old Mill Lighting in Lancaster and bought a bunch of lights for both inside and out, among which were the following cool fixtures. We've also started looking at paint colors, which is quite intimidating at this point.

Don't Skimp On The Trimmin's

Progress has been slow the last week as a 20 below wind chill does not lend itself well to siding installation for man or board. Neither did the snow and ice storm that followed it. Before that, though, some cementitious siding trim was able to be installed and we can see how great the color looks. When the main, red siding goes up we'll finally get to see how well our color scheme works. It's all very exciting!
