Walls A'plenty

The drywall work continues, with the majority of the downstairs hung and the upstairs all hung and on the road to being finished. Oscar, Mario, Pablo and Carlos are doing a fantastic job!

Gypsum Jamboree

Drywall hanging is slated to be completed upstairs today with the full focus descending to the main level. In other news, paint colors are half decided and the bathroom tile hunt continues, with intermittent success.

This Old Barn

A walkthrough of the upstairs on the first day of drywall hanging. Pay particular attention to the large bedroom closet upstairs (Laurie's) and the the drywall edge that perfectly hugs the contours of the timbers. Oscar is truly a drywall magician!

Spring Forward

Permitted and inspected, this caged bird can fly again!

The drywall has been delivered and is being hung, with Oscar at the helm

Upstairs will be hung first and then the main floor

The timbers crossing the doorways upstairs have been cut and the barn didn't collapse. Good news!

Backer rod and fiberglass insulation will stop drafts from sneaking around the windows

The sconces, which will shoot light vertically in both directions along certain beams have been forged and received
